Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Warbler, Yellow Wagtail, Grasshopper Warbler, Sand Martin, Wheatear, Whimbrel, Common Tern, Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Willow Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff, Avocet, Mediterranean Gull, Cetti's Warbler, Marsh Harrier, Little Egret, Green Woodpecker.

Kilmarnock-Irvine, Ayrshire

Willow Warblers starting to arrive in numbers. A 30 mile cycle around 10 sites produced 47 singing males: Kilmarnock-Dreghorn disused railway line (13), Milgarholm Park (1), Tarryholme (4), River Irvine, Shewalton-Holmsford Bridge (4), Oldhall Ponds SWT (4), Shewalton, Meadowhead Road pit (3), Shewalton Wood SWT (18). Plus many non-vocal birds refuelling at wetland sites, e.g. 13 Oldhall Ponds, 9 Tarryholme. Also 55 singing male Chiffchaffs.
