Calling song from a male Woodland Grasshopper (Omocestus rufipes) in heathland bordering oak woodland.

A series of high-pitched clicks, similar to Common Green Grasshopper but overall lower frequency, with 17-18 elements/sec at ~21°C in strophes of 5-10 seconds. Usually begining quietly and slowly increasing in volume before ending abruptly.
