Calling song/stridulation from a male Club-legged Grasshopper (Gomphocerus sibiricus) in alpine grassland at 2527 metres.

A fairly loud, continuous ticking (6 elements/sec at ~20°C) repeated in long bursts of up to 20 seconds. Begins quietly, increasing in volume.
